NVTR Up-Date, February 12, 2011
Entries: You can enter NVTR2011 as a
SINGLE car - at which time we'll team you with another "Single", or If
you're signing up as a TEAM (2-cars) please mail both entry packs
together (if not possible please make a note on both packets as
to who your Team-mate is).
Course: As the norm with NVTR we won't give up the
location of the exact course area until moments before the start. We are
right now in discussion with a very well known Outfitter company, hence
the Start is in North-West Nevada. If we pull this off you can bet the
Press Coverage (Reno TV & Print) should be great!
And... we have a new section for Day-2, meaning no past NVTR
participant has seen the area. And our Chief Navigator & Scorer, John
Gulliford, has found water in that area! So look out!
Hotel: Hotel info will be sent out once the Entry forms & payment
has been received.
Dollars for Waypoints: This years event is held in honor of Doug
Walker, a long time NVTR competitor and winner. Sadly Doug lost
his battle to cancer recently, so we thought... Participant's could
obtain their own sponsorship (from whomever) for XX dollars per Waypoint
found during NVTR2011, the money would then be donated to... Stay tuned
for more details. -this is not required to participate in NVTR.
Press: Famed writer, author and Land Rover magazine man James
Taylor, will be joining us for NVTR2011 from England.
