Vehicle Reviews by ORE

Vehicle Reviews is a new feature we've added just for you. In the past we'd offered minor reviews and tests in our News & Information mailer, but space was always limited.

This new feature will allow you to ride along with the "ORE" crew as they test today's 4WD's in real life situations, meaning; on our off-road training trails and roads. How does it adapt to particular situations, can it carry 300 lbs of cargo, what's the approach angles like, fuel mileage, performance… The works.

As you'll see, the magazines aren't always right when they say "xxxx" is 4x4 of the year, or "yyyy" is far superior to anything they have driven. You see, these magazine guys are driven buy advertising dollars, say something bad about a particular 4x4 and you just may lose advertising money. It's been know to happen.

We're here to tell you how these vehicles really stack up against the competition. We'll be up-front and to the point, and if we don't like something, we'll tell you why.

It is our hope that over the next year or two that we'll keep adding vehicles to this list, so take a moment now and again to surf our site for further up-dates in this category.

In addition we hope to review a number of tires, so stay tuned.

Vehicle Reviews - Dodge Durango
As you may recall Chrysler Corp loaned us a Durango in March of ’98, and to our surprise, another one in late September.

Vehicle Reviews - Land Rover Discovery II
In mid September Rob Whitaker & Michael Green were guests at the LAND-ROVER Lodge in Colorado, and while there they saw and drove the Series II for the first time.
Vehicle Reviews - Range Rover 4.6 HSE
The name alone reminds us that this vehicle has become the pinnacle of 4-wheel drives, not to mention it’ll add a touch of class to any garage, road or trail.
